eComStation is a reliable and secure operating system
originally based on IBM OS/2 Warp, which delivers
a proven virus free, no-downtime operating environment both
for personal desktop use and industry needs where
reliability is paramount. eComStation 2.1 versions: eComStation 2.1
is released in two flavours: The Home
& Student version can be used by any
private or small office user. As a private
or small office user, it is allowed to
have up to 5 licenses installed for production
usage. This version includes 6 months of Software
Subscription Services.
If more than 5 licenses are
needed, it is required to purchase the Business
Edition. The Business Edition includes 12 months of
Software Subscription Services. Volume discounts are available for
the Business Edition.
Languages: eComStation 2.1 licenses are
'multi-lingual': a license can be used for any
available language. At the moment English and German
versions are available, but when more are ready
these will be made available in the download
area. Software Subscription Services: If you have previously
bought Software Subscription Services, you are entitled to
receive the GA version of eComStation 2.0, even
the subscription expired. Some customers received the Software
Subscription Services as part of an upgrade offer,
these are also entitled to receive the eComStation
2.0 GA version. eComStation 2.1 GA is available
to to those with active Software Subscription Services.
OpenOffice.org: OpenOffice.org for eComStation is part of
all versions of eComStation 2.0 now. The former
'OpenOffice.org support agreement' will be phased out. The
new Software Subscription will cover the OpenOffice.org updates
(current version is 3.2.0). Mediapack: The optional eComStation
2.1 mediapack consist of:
- installation CD
- bonus applications CD
- OpenOffice.org
3.2 for eComStation CD
- installation guide.
As long as
supplies last a case badge is also included.
Note on electronic delivery Please note that for
electronic delivery you need to download about 800
MB and need to burn the ISO files
on CD.
