• Open QuickBooks application and create a new QuickBooks file. To do so, follow the below steps:
  - Open QuickBooks software and click on 'File' option.
  - Select 'New Company' to open 'EasyStep Interview' wizard.
  - Since, it is not necessary, you can skip the interview by clicking 'Skip Interview' button.
  - Now, write Company name and its related information. Click 'Next' to continue.
  - Choose Organization type. Click 'Next'.
  - Choose the Month that your company uses to start the fiscal year. Click 'Next' to continue.
  - Choose the Industry type. Click 'Next'.
  - Click 'Finish' and specify the name and location of your company.
  - Click 'Save'.
• Keep this file open when you start the repair process.
• Determine all the preferences (as per your requirements) for this new QuickBooks file. To set these preferences, follow the below steps:
  - Open QuickBooks file and click 'Edit' option.
  - Choose 'Preferences'. To change 'Company Preferences', select preferences for these options - Accounting, Integrated Applications, Items & Inventory, Jobs & Estimates, and Sales Tax.
  - Click 'OK' and close the 'Preferences' window.
