An exciting addition to Ridax's remote control product line is available now. Their line of products was:

• PM2You Remote Control for graphical remote control of the OS/2 Desktop.
• OS2You Remote Control for text mode only remote control of OS/2 sessions.
• WIN2You Remote Control for graphical remote control of Windows 95 and Windows NT Desktops.
• WinTerm Windows 3.x/95/NT client for OS2You, PM2You and WIN2You.

To this line is now added a "Java Client for OS2You, PM2You and WIN2You" and also made updates to the PM2You, OS2You and WIN2You remote control hosts. With the new Java Client you can actually connect to OS2You, PM2You and WIN2You and remote control Windows 95/NT and OS/2 from an ordinary WEB browser with Java 1.1 support. As the OS2You, PM2You and WIN2You hosts are updated to include a simple WEB server functionality, you just connect your WEB browser to the host as you would do to access any information on the WEB, and after a short time you have control over the host through your browser.

With the new Java Client, customer support over the Internet has become as easy as just launching your WEB browser and connect to your customer. Or maybe you want someone to have a look at your desktop? With WIN2You installed, you just ask him/her to launch the WEB browser and connect to you. Instead of trying to explain what is happening on your screen, just let them connect to you.

It is important to note that the Java Client requires a license for each machine you want to remote control FROM.

Do you want to have a look at the new Java Client, and see what it is like? Check Ridax's home page at http://www.aditom.se/ridax/ and go to the Java Client demo. This will actually start the Java Client within YOUR browser. For obvious reasons we are not giving access to remote control of our unattended WEB server, thus you will only have a "static" image of an OS/2 desktop in the Java Client. But you should get a good feeling on what the new Java Client looks like, how it is working and how easy it is to connect to one of our hosts, using a WEB browser.
