FinePrint
is available as Enterprise Edition (EE) This free
addition is designed for use in a network
environment serving multiple workstations and users. The Enterprise
Edition has the following features: Centralized Installation. Install
EE once on a Windows server, and any
authorized user can access FinePrint simply by connecting
to a shared printer. Centralized Updates. When a
new version of EE becomes available and is
installed on the server, client users are automatically
updated to the new version. Network Client Support.
EE supports clients running Windows 95, 98, NT,
2000 and XP. Installation is simple, and uses
the standard Windows "Point and Print" technique for
accessing shared network printers. Security. EE fully supports
Windows NT/2K/XP security, so you can choose which
users have access to FinePrint. Unlike the standard
version of FinePrint, EE does not require administrative
privileges under NT/2000 (except for installation and uninstallation
on the server). What make FinePrint a MUST
for any PC? FinePrint saves you money on
paper and toner, weight in your briefcase, and
time and hassle in managing your print jobs.
With FinePrint working for you, annoying printing problems
disappear. Below are just some examples of printing
problems that FinePrint can fix. See also our
Enterprise section for benefits of FinePrint in the
Enterprise. Printing online manuals, Acrobat files (PDF), contracts,
financial data or other documents costs time and
money. Transporting and storing heavy, bulky documents can
be a hassle. With FinePrint you can print
2, 4, or 8 pages on a single
sheet of paper which saves time and money.
Maintain readability by adjusting margins. Web pages often
have little on them as in the second
page above, but end up getting printed anyway.
The FinePrint preview will show that an extra
page exists and allow you to get rid
of it before it prints! Click here for
Feature Tour. If you travel, you need to
print out your itinerary, hotel and car reservations,
any maps you need and perhaps a list
of restaurants and attractions. This means printing a
lot of web pages and carrying them with
you. With FinePrint, itÚs easy to assemble your
pages, save them and rearrange them in the
order you want. When your set of pages
is ready to go, print them out as
a convenient booklet. Then email the whole formatted
collection to your companion who can also print
it in any desired format. Often in a
printing session lots of paper may be used
needlessly on pages with low information density. By
printing 2 up, you can see more information
at a glance and spend less time flipping
pages. Web pages are often truncated in inconvenient
places. This airline schedule is printed on 2
pages, making it difficult to read. With FinePrint,
you can scale pages to fit on a
single sheet. Click here for Feature Tour. Web
pages often print with lots of advertising bitmaps
which take additional time and expensive ink to
print. With FinePrint, you can decide if you
want to eliminate bitmaps in the preview. Pages
print much faster with less ink. Frames used
in web pages often cause blank pages to
print unexpectedly. If your browser does not have
a preview or you do not use it,
you can end up with lots of wasted
paper and frustration. With the FinePrint preview, you
can detect frame problems before printing and then
reprint the correct frame from the browser. Click
here for Feature Tour. Whether you have a
personal or business letterhead, custom stationery can be
expensive. The costs of printing letters, invoices, quotations,
and spreadsheets on letterhead stationery can quickly mount.
With FinePrint, create your own letterhead and use
it to print output from anywhere´including applications like
spreadsheets and browsers that do not support graphics´onto
customized stationery. Use the FinePrint preview to make
sure that your letterhead prints perfectly. See our
Feature Tour. Putting together a single document that
combines print jobs from a variety of applications
is virtually impossible. Use the defer printing feature
to assemble printouts from different applications - and
save them as a single file (if you
print to Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer, youÚll even
have a single PDF file). Watermarks, customized header
and footer information are unavailable from all applications
and can be a hassle to modify. FinePrintÚs
easy-to-use watermark, header, and footer features enable instant
customization of your print out with useful information.
Saving output from any application in the format
you want is often difficult and your choices
can be limited. FinePrint lets you save individual
pages, and documents in a variety of useful
formats. Pages can be copied to the clipboard
for easy pasting into other applications.
