vDHCP Requirements

The vDHCP computer does not need to be dedicated to running vDHCP, so you should take into account the requirements for the other software.

  • Windows 95 or NT 4.0 or later
  • Computer with 386 (or higher) processor.
  • 16MB RAM. Note that certain operating systems require more memory. For instance, for Windows XP a minimum of 256MB is normally recommended.
  • 5MB Hard disk space required for vDHCP itself.
  • TCP/IP networking on the local network
