CharacTell's flagship product, is based on our proven technology for recognizing non-connected handwriting and machine-printed text. Whether you are a student taking notes in the classroom or library, or a professional at a meeting, SoftWriting is for you. Reducing the need to retype, saves both time and effort.

SoftWriting is very simple to use and requires no prior expertise. A four-minute, easy to follow, wizard guides you through the required process to get you going. You import or create your documents using a wide variety of peripherals: scanners, tablets or digital pens. SoftWriting learns your handwriting, then processes the document, converting it into electronic format. Words that have not been recognized appear along with the original document with editing suggestions. Following this quick process, you save your work as a text or MS Word file.

You can download SoftWriting and have a fully functional product for an evaluation period of 14 days. At the end of this period you will need to register in order to continue working.

SoftWriting can recognize machine print and non-connected handwritten characters English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Italian, and Dutch. SoftWriting is available from this website via download only.

SoftWriting version 4.5 is now available in two versions:
