Source control is in charge of keeping the history of every developing item, it works as a "safety net" allowing the user to go back to a previous configuration as well as keeping track of who has made every change and which changes have been introduced in each item.
The server is built on top of .NET technology on Windows and Mono on Linux and the other Unix flavours. The PlasticSCM server is the heart of the system, a strong and fast core, the cornerstone to continue building upon. Our goal is providing a solid and featured rich core so that development teams can feel free to implement any working pattern they choose. The source control is in charge of keeping the history of all the elements developed, it works as a security net which allows the user to go back to a previous configuration as well as identify each change developed on any element and the person doing it.
