iUndelete [NTFS] is a fast, safe and easy
to use Windows XP/2003/Vista NTFS undelete and file
recovery utility. iUndelete uses a wizard type process
that guides you through the procedure step by
step. iUndelete offers three modes of operation:
Undelete
mode: Allows you to quickly recover files that
were deleted from the Recycle bin, or that
bypassed the Recycle bin altogether (files that were
deleted by Windows or other processes, deleted from
the Explorer while holding the 'Shift' key, etc.).
Unformat mode: Recover files from systematic file system
damage (e.g. a disk format operation, a partition
that was deleted and recreated, etc.) and from
corrupted NTFS file systems.
Partition Recovery Mode: Scan
for deleted or otherwise lost volumes and recover
data from them.
iUndelete features a unique file
validation feature: files detected during a scan are
examined and checked for typical characteristics for a
given file type. The validation recognizes 18 common
and frequently found file types. Based on results
for individual files iUndelete creates a prognosis for
the quality of the entire file system that
