NetOp Remote Control is the most comprehensive, effective and security-conscious way to maintain your IT operations. Designed to fit into all environments including 64-bit environments, NetOp Remote Control lets you access users running virtually any operating system, including Windows, all Windows Server releases, Linux, Mac OS X and Solaris. Location isn't terribly important either. The NetOp Remote Control software offers unrivalled connectivity, supporting all standard communication protocols. Finally, NetOp Remote Control is the ideal way to manage and administrate your servers. NetOp Remote Control contains a sweeping range of remote management tools, all available on one easy-to-use console.
New in version 10.0:
- Guest/Host support for Windows 7.0 (32 and 64-bit), Linux SUSE Enterprise Desktop and Server 11, RHEL 5.5-6.0, CentOS 5.5, Apple MacOSX 10.5 and 10.6.
- Improved performance on Windows 7, Vista, 2008 and 64-bit systems
- Enhanced Bitmap and Command Mode screen transfer, resulting in better performance and stability
- Active directory authentication with Netop Security Server has been extended to include Organzational Units (OUs)
- Linux & Mac Guests and Hosts modules now include support for Netop WebConnect.
- Netop Remote Control is from now on fully compatible with RDP (Remote Desktop) environments. Netop can now safely be installed on the console using an RDP session. No more black screens occur.
- Enhancement of Intel vPro (iAMT) capability, remote control of machines and/or system BIOS before an operating system has loaded.

None of this, of course, matters unless you can operate securely. With NetOp Remote Control you're protected end-to-end by the most robust set of security measures available in any remote control software tool. It's little wonder, then, that organizations that recognize their reliance on IT, recognize the benefits of NetOp Remote Control.
Security Any remote access request must fulfill numerous criteria, including authentication and authorization against a local or, better still, centralized authentication system such as Windows Domain, a Directory Service or a RSA SecurID server. The authorization roles also dictate what actions a Guest is permitted to perform remotely. It's possible to centralize all authentication and authorization with the NetOp Security Server. NetOp Remote Control protects the traffic between the modules against eavesdropping by using 256-bit AES encryption. Netop Remote Control is compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and ISO 27001 regulations.
Remote management With the Remote Management facility, the Host user can keep working while the computer is being serviced. The Guest can even collect a detailed hardware and software inventory. Remote management uses less bandwidth since only management data, rather than screen data, is transmitted.
Cross-platform support Since most large networks are a patchwork of PCs and platforms, NetOp modules can connect across the majority of standard communication protocols and across different operating systems. Use the Guest and Host from Windows Server 2003, XP and 2000 Terminal Services including Citrix, NT 4.0, ME, 9x and CE as well as from Linux and Solaris. In addition the Guest program also runs under ActiveX (e.g. in Internet Explorer). The Host can also be launched under Mac OS X, OS/2 and DOS.
Multi Guest session ith NetOp Remote Control, multiple Guests can view the same remote desktop, and can even switch keyboard and mouse with each other during a session. Guests using Windows can also monitor whether fellow Guests are connected, what session types are active and who has the keyboard and mouse controls.

NetOp Webconnect (see Netop OnDemand)
With Netop WebConnect Server and Manager it's easy to establish Netop Guest/Host connections without any firewall issues. Either you may run your own WebConnect Server(s) and Manager or subscribe for a hosted solution on the WebConnect Servers owned by Netop.
NetOp Gateway
This acts as a dedicated routing mechanism for NetOp Remote Control traffic. This module is typically used as a single dial-in point, allowing guest users to access networked hosts via a central routing system.
NetOp Name Management
This module resolves queries from other NetOp modules about NetOp Names and convert them into IP addresses. NetOp Names can be: Host PC names, User login names, Security Server group names, Log Server group names, Help provider names, Guest names and Serial number names.
NetOp Security Management
The NetOp Security Management module gives you further options in regard to control and administration of NetOp security.
Attention please The NetOp DOS 4.3 and OS/2 6.5 Guest modules are only available as separate licenses. Therefore they are not included in any other license package. These Guest modules can communicate with the NetOp Host, however not with all the features of the NetOp Guest. There is no NetOp Guest available for the Macintosh platform, just a Host.
