WebTools Pro -
Doc Info
The Document Info report tells you
all the useful underlying information about the HTML
page that you're inspecting. For most times when
you want to inspect a page the Document
Info report is a good place to start
as it provides a wealth of information.
The Document Info report is helpful when optimizing pages as it lists the file size, and the total size of all the images. This information is presented as estimated load times for your page so you may see how the page performs for users with fast and slow modems.
The Document Info report lists details on your screen size and color depth, as well as file creation dates.
Scrolling down on the report you will see detailed tables showing any cookies that the page may have. The cookie information is broken up by parameter, so you will not have to struggle with one long string.
Similar to the cookie report, you will also see a Meta tag report which shows any Meta tags that the page may have. This includes all keywords, descriptions and refresh tags.
The last section of the Document Info report lists all the frames that may be in your page. For each frame the height, width, name and title are displayed, along with a link for you to view that frame individually. Below the frame list you will be presented with a scaled down diagram of the frames as they are positioned on the page you're inspecting. For any frame related analysis, especially of complex frames, these reports should provide you with all the information you need to know.

The Images reports lists all images
on the page you wish to inspect. The
image thumbnail is displayed with height, width and
alt text details.
WebTools Pro - StyleSheets
The
Stylesheets report lisks all Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
The contents of the .css files is shown,
as well as a preview of how the
styles and classes render.
How Does it Work
WebTools ProTo use WebTools Pro first open Internet Explorer 5 (or greater, PC only) and navigate to a page that you're interested in. Then Open WebTools Pro and the compact menu bar will be displayed in the corner of your screen. Click the WebTools button you want for instant reports and information based on the page that you have open in Internet Explorer. Couldn't be simpler. There are many reports to choose from, including Forms, Images and Scripts. You can also use the tools on the "Change Page" menu to X-Ray the page and show the structure and composition of it's elements.
We've packed WebTools Pro with all the also allows you to stay up-to-date with the latest tools as they are added to the WebTools Pro menu, without ever having to raise a finger to download an add-in. If you have a suggestion for an improvement or a new tool please let us know, as soon as it's completed the new tool will appear on your WebTools Pro menu.
